Background

      Mariam binti Raja Loyor or well known as Puteri Saadong, a single daughter of Raja Loyor bin Raja Sakti, the king of Jembal. Instead of the two names of Puteri Saadong, she also uses the name of Puteri Vijaya Mala because of her beauty. Initially, Puteri Saadong is a single princess of Raja Loyor after her brother, Raja Sakti was died when he was a child. Raja Loyor which his original name is Sultan Adiluddin is a government ruling of Jembal.He develops a good relationship with Cik Siti Wan Kembang, the government ruling of Gunung ChintaWangsa and also called as Paduka Cik Siti by Arabian merchant at that time.She was also the first tsarina (female king) of Kelantan and her name was known until today. Paduka Cik Siti is an unmarried woman and because of that, she decides to adopt Puteri Saadong as her foster daughter who will directly take over her place when she’s gone. In addition, Paduka Cik Siti has a deer which she loves most. The deer is a gift from one of her people who live in Gunung Ayam at that time. Lastly, her favorite deer was made as the official emblem of Kelantan until today.
